Forgot my iPad passcode

I forgot my iPad passcode. I have not completely disabled it yet I was wondering if I can reset it on my iCloud.

The instructions below may work if you have forgotten a passcode but will not work if your device says it is disabled. For a disabled device you will have to use the instructions in the next link. This will require a computer. If you do not have one then ask a friend if you can use theirs or take you device to a place where you can use one such as an Apple Store.

If you’ve forgotten the passcode on your iPad, or your iPad is disabled

For a forgotten passcode with no "disabled" message and you have no computer:

1. Use the Find My app, or a web browser signed into https://www.icloud.com/find , to erase the disabled device. More at iCloud: Erase your device with Find My iPhone - https://support.apple.com/guide/icloud/erase-your-device-mmfc0ef36f/icloud

2. Restore the device from its backup.

As I posted, several others have said this worked for them but in general your question will invoke multiple replies from helpers here saying you absolutely must use a computer, plus I will never receive a "recommended" from Apple for the solution I posted above. Anyway, it would be nice to have confirmation, or not, that this worked for you. :-)
