MacBook Pro System Storage Issue

my Macbook Pro 2017 is having an error with the storage. It was originally saying i had near 80GB in Docs, so i took care of that issue and dropped it down to 24.78GB. But now, the SYSTEM storage jumped from about 6GB to 58.71GB. So now I still do not have enough space even after clearing it out simply because “System” randomly accumulated excess storage. And I have no idea how to clear it.

Also, yes, I tried starting in safe mode because I read that it should fix the issue, but it did not.
