I'm aware that Podcast Connect has had issues, but I'm still unable to get my RSS Feed through and validated by Apple Podcasts almost a week later. My hosting company says my feed is fine. Is there any way to fix this so we can get our podcast reviewed?
The RSS Feed is https://feeds.buzzsprout.com/1716258.rss
Your feed can be subscribed to manually in Apple Podcasts, which is usually an indication that it ought to be OK in Podcasts Connect. The XML is valid. However it contains this tag:
<podcast:locked owner="xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx">yes</podcast:locked>
(it contains your email address). this is a new tag designed to prevent import into other hosts -
I have no idea whether this might adversely affect Podcasts Connect. The obvious next step would be to remove it and see what happens.
Thanks for that. I see that Buzzsprout has added that tag, and I'll try to submit without it. No idea if Apple is updating their systems to allow for this tag, but some guidance would really be helpful. We'll see.
