Notes ‘on my iPhone’ missing after IOS 14.2 update

otes ‘on my iPhone’ missing after IOS 14.2 update.

Notes are stored ‘on my iPhone’. Didn’t back up phone before IOS update (silly me, lesson learned)

i don’t use iCloud.

tried all suggested methods.

initially notes didn’t show ‘on my iPhone’ as folder. Selected ‘on my iPhone’ from ‘add folder’ icon (left bottom corner) shows 0 notes.

I do not have ‘recently deleted folders’ as an option

tried some ‘recovery apps’ but none finds the notes, only the ones I see in notes, not the list ones.

HELP, how can a find the notes I had before the IOS update? Even if I can see the text and have to re-type is an option.
