Question:Q:If experimental WebKit features are only for developers, why are they accessible for all users?

Under Settings, Safari, Advanced, Experimental Features, WebKit Experimental Features- There are roughly 68 options to enable or disable. I thought the WebKit Experimental Features option was strictly for Developer Accounts? Could someone please verify if my thoughts are correct on that? If this feature rich option is standard for all users then what the heck are the defaults for the 68 different options? HELP PLEASE

Thanks for the post. It looks like you have a question about the experimental features you see in your Safari settings, and we're happy to see if we can assist.

Though the experimental features you mention are generally used by app or web developers, it's normal for them to be present on all devices. Generally speaking, there's no need to adjust those for standard usage. Since there's not a function to reset all to a default, if you do make any changes, we recommend making note of those you've changed in case you need to switch them back.

Thanks Ryane77, so then all 68 options (est) are present and currently off. I have seen in the past however some being enabled but did not document which ones. I also have not changed their associated status. So I guess I'm a bit concerned as to how they could change or should I just not worry about them? I'm just a user not a developer and according to a recent conversation with Apple all users have this feature available to them. I kinda find it hard to believe to be Apple policy with all their strict rules in place for App development and approval but maybe I'm wrong. The wrong tools in the wrong hands could make for a very bad user and OEM experience....
