Unable to Communicate with Apple watch Error

Hey there, Spacecatdk.

We understand that you're unable to use the unlock iPhone with your Apple Watch feature because you keep seeing an "Unable to Communicate with Apple Watch" error instead. If you haven't already, you can also try to backup your Apple Watch and then try unpairing and pairing to your iPhone again to see if that might help:

• Back up your Apple Watch
• Unpair and erase your Apple Watch

Apologies for jumping in here but I'm having the same issue; however when I unpaired and paired the apple watch again, did not solve the issue.

I'm on ios 14.5.1 (iphone 12 pro max) and apple watch (series 5) is on 7.4.1

It was working fine for me on 14.5 and 7.4. What I don't understand is that my apple watch connects to my iphone just fine (calls, notifications etc.), it's just that I am getting the above mentioned error when I try to enable the unlock with Apple Watch feature.

Can you please help?

Thanks but looks like that thread is specific to unlocking Mac with Apple Watch and not unlocking the iPhone?

I've tried everything I could think of with no luck...
