Downloaded the new 14.5 ios and went to the McDonalds app and 1st screen is a requirement you give them permission to track. You could not say no if you wanted to continue on their app. Are other apps going to do the same thing preventing you from using the app unless you allow tracking?

Really a question for the app developer asking you for permission.

If it’s not enabled then you do not allow app tracking; so to answer your questions, keep it off.

I am glad apple decided to get in between the app owner and consumer on this issue. If the consumer has to opt in then the consumer can decide to continuing use of the app or not.
The wording is utterly confusing -- as if you're being given a zen koan. Huge brain drain.
