Quicktime and Animation codec

Time passes and there's no solution about the problem playing videos with Animation codec in Quicktime 10. Every professional in video industry uses this format and it's a pain torture every time we need to preview or play this codec, either using VLC or having to import the files into Premiere or After effects to preview them. Seriously, developers haven't found a simple solution to this issue?

Quicktime Player X Frame numbers instead of Timecode Hi. If I click on Timecode in QTPlayerX it will toggle between Frames and Timecode. But it has been very inconsistent. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Is there a method to this madness? I think it might have to do with where the movie was created. Seems like our movies coming from ffmpeg work and Media Encoder does not. Is there a flag in the metadata that QTPlayer is looking for?

KEYNOTE and PlayBack Controls I am creating a presentation that uses video clips. I want to be able to see timecode on each clip so I can scrub through and find my start and end points but there is no Playback Controls on my clip. How do I add playback controls? When I view my clip outside of Keynote in Quicktime, I see the playback controls on my clip. My video is an MP4. I am using Keynote version 10.1
