How do I go about finding the location of my lost ipad if my ipad is the only Apple device I own?
Here is Apple’s advice for lost or stolen devices:
If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch is lost or stolen – Apple Support
Use the Find My app to locate a lost or stolen device – Apple Support
If the Find My iPad feature was enabled prior to it being “misplaced”, then if active, you would stand a good chance of locating it.
However, if the feature was not activated prior to being misplaced - or the iPad has been inactive for more than 24 hours, the last known location will not be available - and the opportunity to use technical means to recover the iPad have been lost.
If you don’t have access to another Apple device, don’t forget that you can either use a web-browser from any other computer to access the Web-version of the Find My App - or use the Find My App of any other Apple device, such as that of a friend or relative.

Search Find my iPhone on your web browser and then it will prompt you to sign in to your Apple ID. Once you do so it should show you your last known location of the iPad.
Hope this Helps!
