You can only use one Apple ID on it at a time, but you can change the Apple ID logged into it.

If another Apple ID is signed in you may need to enter the password for that ID to sign out of that ID first.

Any one person should try to only have a single Apple ID because you cannot easily transfer data between IDs and some things cannot be transferred at all.
