Venmo is not Apple and vice versa. You should use the tool that best meets your needs. You might want to do some reading about Venmo's privacy record, though.

Venmo is also one step above a criminal money laundering operation.

Venmo does not require you to verify that you own a bank account before you are allowed to add it to your account using nothing more than the routing and account numbers, nor do they require you to verify your identity.

I personally know over a dozen people who have had accounts drained dry by criminals who use Venmo to steal.

So... good luck with that.

That would be the equivalent of taking a cash advance on the card.

Whether it's worth it to you or not, you can't do that.
