Apple Magic Trackpad 2: Older iPad Pro? Windows?

Two questions: 1. Will the Apple Magic Trackpad 2 work with an iPad Pro 2nd Gen running 14.5? And 2. Would the same trackpad work with a Microsoft Surface Laptop 3?

I may need to get an external trackpad with my Surface, and I'm hoping to justify the cost by knowing it will work with my iPad too. For the Surface, I don't care if I don't get all the extra fun stuff, as long as the basics work.

Looking under "Compatibility," there's a large list of iPads and other devices it's compatible with. Strangely, it includes iPad Pro 11-inch (2nd generation) but NOT the 12.9-inch. So I'm not sure if that's just an accidental omission or if there's something different about the 12.9. From what I remember when they came out, they two devices are basically identical except for the size.
