When will there be an update to the iPassword app for iOS 14.5? I'm unable to get to my passwords.

I am also having the same problem with iPassword! I have years of passwords saved in the iPassword app which I had paid for ad free. Now I cannot access any of the data. I am furious with both apple and the developer that this has happened with now prior notice so I could download my data to protect it.
That's a clever workaround Oodle544, however I wouldn't trust this developer going forward. I have switched to 1Password; it is desktop and mobile and, therefore, less likely for this to happen in the future.
Someone did contact the developer on Twitter and he said he was going to fix the problem, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Make sure you have backups if you stick with his apps.
Roxy. I’m afraid you’re probably right about the developer. But at least I have my data for now. Is it possible to import into 1password from iPassword? Or would I be facing a manually process?
I had to manually input my data because I was using hints for my passwords, but I found this: https://support.1password.com/import/
Good luck.
I am having the same issue, I have all of my passwords stored in this app. I have the paid version, how can they just not give us access to it? I dont know what to do with it, I will have to try and reset all of my passwords I assume. I think that I should get a refund for the yearly cost of the app.

Yes in the same boat.. all my passwords stored in this app and now cant access it. What do we do??
I have an iPod and iPad that I don’t think I have updated. I will see if I can login to one of them and copy my passwords, I am not sure that I have the app installed on both devices though. If I don’t, I think when I download it that it will not update my numbers from iPhone. I don’t know what yo do really. I am sure that I paid a subscription for the app, so I definitely will be looking to get a refund.
Oodle544 - the best, easiest, and most efficient solution so far, with no weird 3rd party app required. btw, I didn't pay $ for the new version and it still worked. Unfortunately it does keep you in the Password Manager universe which I detest, but for now, I'm happy to have my mass of passwords available again. Thanks for your generosity, time, and effort. ;-)
not necessary to use 3rd party app - can all be done in itunes
So now that we have a few successful ways of transferring to the current working version of iPassword, who will be the first to show us all how to extract the data in a format that will allow us to transfer to a better product from another developer?
If you want to switch to 1Password, I found this:
https://support.1password.com/import/
The data would have to be in CSV format. They have a desktop version as well as a mobile version.
I could go with any password app if I had all my data in CSV, and there are plenty I would choose over 1Password. I could also manually transfer each entry to any other app, but who wants to do that (around 200 entries) ... I would prefer some smart cookie to show us a way to extract existing data from the iPassword into a format like CSV or something similar, something readable. Heck, I'd even settle on using excel for my passwords from now on given the major PITA this app has been.
I hear you. I only chose 1Password because I already had a year free. I'm going to look at iPassword when I have a chance to see if there is a way to extract the data.
This is highly irresponsible of Apple. There should be a prompt saying which all app will be rendered useless after this update. People can decide and plan accordingly. Frankly I am weighing my legal options because harassments are immense and no solution is working.
TammyHC, I did what you said, I had to leave my old phone connected to iTunes overnight, and when I first tried iPassword on the old phone it did not work, but then about the third time I opened it all my passwords were there. Be patient
go to page 1 of this forum, look for user Cpen, he has the solution if you have an older phone/ipad that's not updated to V14.5 yet.
download iMazing software, backup and restore, worked for me.
