iPhone freezing

My phone is fully updated but keeps freezing or not allowing apps to open and work. I update everything right when it comes out. I am completely out of storage and keep deleting things to make more storage. So I don't know if the storage is affecting the phone or not but this has been happening for a while now where I have to constantly shut down my phone and even sometimes that doesn't help
