Were you able to follow the steps under "If you can't edit your payment information" in the guide you recently reviewed? Here's the link, just in case: Change, add, or remove Apple ID payment methods

The Payment and Shipping screen which is accessed from Apple ID screen continues to be grayed out, therefore I cannot fix “the problem”. I would even add another card if possible. By the way, Apple used this card in January for two iPads, an Apple Pencil, and earlier, ear pods. I am using IOS 14.5 on both my iPad and iPhone.
i have updated both my iPhone and iPad to IOS 14.5. This problem predates the update. The option to edit the Payment and Shipping data is grayed out on both devices.
