Macbook Pro 15 inch 2018 is connecting to iphone 6S hotspot via wifi but no internet
- Shows that the Macbook Pro is connected to iPhone 6S hotspot (if and when it actually does connect...usually takes a few tries)
- Able to connect via Bluetooth and/or Wifi, but no internet
I've tried:
- Turning off all other wifi and bluetooth devices in the area
- Updating iOS to latest version (14.5)
- Updating OS to latest version (11.2.3)
- Multiple network resets
- Turning both devices off and on, multiple times
- Unpairing (Forgetting old network settings) and then Re-pairing devices via Bluetooth and Wifi
- Connecting only Bluetooth, only Wifi, and Bluetooth and Wifi — all successfully, except no internet
- Signing in with same AppleID
- Using other browsers
- Successful wifi internet on an iPad
- Changing the APN settings from ltedata.apn to ltemobile.apn, doesn't make a difference
The only thing that works:
- Hotspot connection via USB cable, except data transfer is slow compared to wifi (so I hear).
