Stolen phone

so I reported my phone to my insurance, and Im trying to erase my old phone from find my phone, but it just says, erase pending. what do i do now?

There is nothing you can do, the phone will erase itself and lock it with the password you provided when its connected to Wifi or cellular data network. It may also erase if it connects to a different iPhone Via the Find my Network. I wish you the best of luck!
