Recorded Precipitation

When does the recorded precipitation reset? I’m in the US Central time zone.

Hi gwyn96,

We understand you have a question about next-hour precipitation. As noted in the resource below "View next-hour precipitation: When rain or snow is coming in the next hour, a minute-by-minute precipitation chart appears at the top of the screen"

Hope this helps!

Have a great day.

My question was not about upcoming precipitation. It’s about what precipitation has already been recorded. There’s no info I can find about when that either resets or the total amount shown is a rolling amount over X time. Yesterday morning it showed 1.8” of precipitation was recorded for my location. It had rained for many hours so I had no idea if that was truly a total since that round of rain started or if some of the accumulation had rolled off and was no longer in the total. Is there a set time it resets or a set span of hours the total reflects?
