Engrave Air Tags with Chinese Character

I want to engrave my Air Tag(s) with a Chinese Character like my last name via the website in the US? Looks like you can do that in the advertisement, so how do one get this done? Thank you.

I recently called Apple specifically about this because I am bilingual in English and Chinese (中文) and would only be interested in buying the Airtag (from the states) if I could get them engraved with Chinese characters. Nobody in the Apple store I went to knew the answer; calling support they had to connect me with a supervisor because even they didn’t know.

It turns out, you can only engrave in the language your country/region is. Which is really disappointing considering they advertised the poster with all these languages and come to find out you can’t order half of what they’re marketing. The only workaround I see to actually getting an Airtag engraved in Chinese is having it shipped from China to China (a friend, relative, anyone you know who lives in China) then having them ship it to you in the states or elsewhere. Apple please fix this, if you can pass this along upward please do.

I’m a Apple fan but I find this forum is the least useful when it comes to community pages.

so called community specialists direct users to Apple support instead of providing a response.

I understand that community specialists do not know everything but there are other members who might have faced this issue and possibly have a solution.

ofcause we all know how to contact Apple support but sometimes we just need to know a simple response from a community member who already went through this and how they managed to do it or any workaround that Apple did not mentioned about.

after all this is what the community is for.

so think about that there are others who might have an answer before flooding Apple support with simple questions like this one. If you have any references from Apple website you can totally mention it as it can be useful.

I thought of spending some time to highlight this as I see same thing happening over and over again.

Thus is just my thought to improve the community and don’t take it personally.
