Can I watch live tv on apple tv like other smart tvs?

appletv is not a tv it's a box you connect to a tv using hdmi like a dvdplayer or console
the appletv box is sort of like an ipad that use your tv as display
if the live tv content providers you wish to view has an app then yes, but the box will not recieve tv signals from an antenna or sat disc or the likes
