Hello,
After I updated my macOS to 11.3, the Music app on Mac often fails to stream my music to my AirPort Express (802.11n (2nd Generation)). It just stops after about 7 seconds. Does anybody have similar issue?
I use Apple Music on M1 MacBook Air and the music file is downloaded on local drive.

11.4 did not fix the issue
Same problem for me with my new Mac mini M1 and not with my old MacBook Pro intel....
I have to reboot if I want use Airplay with my airport...
My M1 MacBook air still the same yet my iPad and iPhone will connect to airplay first time every time.
Come on Apple sort this out.
Exactly the same problem for me on MacBook Air M1 Big Sur 11.4
Same issues on my Macbook Air M1. I need to restart my Mac to get Airplay to work with Airport Express. Works fine from my iPhone. 11.4 didn't fix it..
Just got 11.4 and as above, not cured.

Yes, I have the same experience. Works after a reboot, but stops after the MacBook has been hibernating for a little while.

Thanks for the workarounds!
Since every Mac (Intel or M1) got affected, the simplest solution for me is to use Windows version of iTunes and remote controlling it :-)
This is absolutely insane!
Big Sur 11.5.2 updated fixed it.

AirPlay failed after few hours of use :-(
It did not fix the issue for me either. A reboot helps, but after a few minutes of hibernation we have the same situation again.
