Shazam and carplay

Running Shazam in car while carplay is connected will mute the song played in the FM radio and won't let me identify the song.

Any remedy?

No it is not possible to use Shazam in connection with CarPlay. When your iPhone is connected to CarPlay, it uses the car speaker and microphone - when you then activate Shazam, the phone does as it usually does, it listens with the microphone, and turns off the sound. Therefore, it can not be done.

We understand you would like to Use Shazam while connected to CarPlay. As noted in the article above "Shazam needs access to the microphone on your device to hear what you're listening to."

Thanks for your reply.

I have no problem with Shazam using my device's microphone, however it will mute my car audio playing a radio station. Can I disable that mute in order to recognize with song is played on the radio?
