iPod 5 activation lock is asking for my old Apple ID

Dear community!

Recently I changed my Apple ID. For some reason I ended up in the activation lock screen on my iPod 5th generation (2014). It is asking for the Apple ID that I used to set up the iPod, which I do not have anymore. Does anybody know how to update it?
