Sony Alpha-1 (ILCE-1) Compressed RAW Support

Hello,

I did not realize that Sony's compressed RAW is an alien format to MacOS. Sony has a RAW viewer and basic editor, and Affinity software has support for it. Programs like Pixelmator Pro which rely on Apple's native library are currently hamstrung until this codec gets updated, which is a shame because I much prefer to use Pixelmator for developing photos.

While I know Apple's dev team is likely already working on this, I just wanted to post this to keep track.

Thanks, much love.

The camera is still very new. Apple usually releases RAW support as a part of major system upgrades within a year after model has been released, if it will be supported at all. It might help to contact Sony as well, as it is up to Sony to provide Apple with all necessary details to help Apple to program the RAW support for Sony's new flagship camera.
