my macbook does not have the mac os version 11. but i want to get garageband so badly. Is there a way i could get atleast the old version of garageband??

If you can get access to your own account on a computer with the required minimum macOS version for the current version you can download the new version of the app to it. Now go to your old computer and search for the application in the Mac App Store application. Try downloading it. It may offer an older version if one is available. If this is an app that uses a service there is no guarantee the old version will actually work with the service but I have found some old versions are available and provide partial functionality.
No, only the way I described. Just so it is clear, you have to download it on a computer running Catalina or Big Sur first, then return to your old computer. Your issue is you already have an "old computer", but you need a new one temporarily too.
Thanks for the reply. But in my case, I do not have an old computer so I cannot use this way to get the app. Isn't there a way to newly download the old version? Like for the very first time?
