i accidentally pressed emergency override on my phone when there was water in the charging port

how can i turn off water emergency override after i pressed it, and how do i know that the water is all cleared out of it before being able to charge it again???

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's our understanding that you accidentally chose to override the liquid-detection alert on your iPhone. We're happy to help.


There's no option to reverse the override. Depending on the amount of liquid exposure, it make take several hours for the device to dry. The following resource can help with drying your iPhone and Lightning accessory:
