How to erase an app
iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 14
Long press on the app and select Remove App, then Delete.
You can also go to:
Settings -> General -> iPhone Storage
Find the app and delete it from there.
If you can not delete the app, then you may be restricted by Screen Time, to fix it go to:
Settings -> Screen Time -> Content & Privacy Restrictions -> iTunes & App Store Purchases -> Deletings Apps.
It must be set to Allow before you can delete apps.

You can long press the screen or the app and you can see the option "remove app." Click on it and then choose "Delete App."
