I'm wondering on when apple stopped supporting/ updating the first gen iPad because I'm trying to get back into my clash of clans account and it would determine the last time I opened up the app.

That and all third party app support ended in late 2015/early 2016 with Apple's switch to 64-bit coded apps and new 64- bit designed iOS hardware devices.
