Old iphone

I have an old cell - maybe a 6S? Am I able to reactivate it and let my daughter use it?

You should able to be yes. If you erased it, then simply turn it on and follow the onscreen steps to set it up again. You will need a functional SIM card to activate it.

If you did not originally erase it, see here for hot to restore it to factory, and set it up again for use by your daughter:
