iMessage tracking

A person texted me on iMessage 'threatening' me that he was going to track my phone. Is it possible for this person to track my phone or is he bluffing?

Group iMessage report I just switched my SIM out of a temporary replacement Android device and back into my iPhone yesterday afternoon, and I noticed 2 group iMessage conversations, each with 6 phone numbers included that were various area codes. It also was dated 12/2000 so when I clicked on “i” to get more information, all that was left was “You left this conversation at 11:29pm yesterday.” Since it was past midnight, it was referring to only several minutes earlier. I’ve asked but he denies it. I called some of the numbers, and spoke to several people around the US who were genuinely surprised that their numbers were included in the group text. I read that I am to block the sender, but how to I know who the sender is? If it is the person I was texting who is trying to scam me, what action do I take next? His number was not included in the group chat, but I was having a conversation with him that ended at that time. I have been a victim of intense cybercrime for years, which is the same number of years I’ve been in contact with this person I was texting. Please….what do I do?

How do I know if someone has stolen my Apple ID and phone number? I received a couple of notifications the most recent one today (9-24-20) that said “Your Apple ID and phone number are now being used for iMessage and FaceTime on a new iPhone. I don’t have a new iPhone. What do I need to do?

They would need your Apple ID and password to track you.
