touch id window closing instantly, ios 14.5.1

i cannot open my locked notes. each time i open the “view note” option (which leads to unlocking it by touch id or passcode) it closes instantly in under a second.

i am confident this is a bug. i can’t report it using feedback assistant because i am not a member of the beta program.

side note, my home button is broken so i use the assistive touch screen button. before i updated to 1.14 it would open as expected but skip touch id and prompt the passcode.

oops. i was able to fix this by turning off touch id.
