When I use the calendar app on my iPhone and change to the today view, it often skips back in time to September 19, 2019 for some odd reason. It has occurred through a number of versions of iOS. I’m currently on 14.5 and have an iPhone 12.

My iPhone calendar does this as well. It continuously jumps to the date of September 24, 2019 for no reason! Apparently this is the first date on my calendar that I can open when I go backwards in list view. . . It does it all the time when I am trying to review my calendar. It is obnoxious!!
I’m having the same issue with iOS 15.1 on an iPhone 11. It’s not just the calendar that remembers a particular entry and re-opens it every time, it’s my email and notes as well.
It does not happen on iPadOS 15.1.
This has been happening for years and is so frustrating.
About to change camps and switch to Android.
I’ve tried every work around and suggestion. Nothing works.
Every time I open a date on my iphone calendar it jumps back to September 17, 2019. It's been happening for about a year now. I've disabled all calendars but one, restarted my iphone many times- nothing fixes it.
I will say disabling the US Holiday Calendar *helped*, what I notice with that workaround is that it still starts back at that date (for me it's sometime in 2020), but very quickly refreshes to today sometimes in a few milleseconds to seconds. i.e. no one said this was *fixed* but it's easily duplicated for engineers to resolve when someone wants to get around to it.

I have tried to isolate the calendar, but to no avail. The issue keeps occuring on my phone and my calendar skips back to September 2019.
This is happening to me as well, my calendar skips back to 2019 occasionally when I open it. I've misscheduled 2 appointments now because of the year difference, please fix @apple!
Same issue. Mine skips back to Oct. 19, 2019 each time. I have two calendars and have toggled each one off individually as well as restarted my phone many times with no resolution.
Calendar continually reverting to September 2019 when endeavouring to enter Reminders, Events, etc. This only started since the most recent IOS update?

Exactly the same problem! For years, on multiple iPhones. Now on iPhone 12. It jumps back to 2019 September 27. 😤😖🤬
No solution as far as I can tell…I tried removing calendars one at a time but no luck

Mortenfillipsen, my issue is identical to yours. Hopefully someone in Apple Support is reading this thread and can finally get to the bottom of this.
