When I use the calendar app on my iPhone and change to the today view, it often skips back in time to September 19, 2019 for some odd reason. It has occurred through a number of versions of iOS. I’m currently on 14.5 and have an iPhone 12.

If there is one specific date that you keep getting flipped back to, see if you have one or more repeating events on that date. Try deleting those events and see if that fixes it. I kept getting flipped back to Feb. 28, 2020. I had numerous (over 30) daily repeating events that day, a few of which continued to today. I deleted them all and that fixed it.
I have the same issue. It still is happening after restarting my phone. Very irritating.

My calendar problem finally was fixed when I called Apple Support. The lady had me doodle in Settings, which I had already done several times. Then, she had me restart my phone, which I had already done multiple times. Wallah! My calendar was magically fixed. I'm pretty sure she sent the fix to my phone while I was doodling in Settings. Apple admits no issues.
Me too! It's driving me crazy. I have my work phone XR and personal phone 6S linked , they have the same version of iOS (14.7.1), it only happens on the XR - I have done everything that has been suggested. Hope Apple can fix it!
I’ve seen a minor improvement after calling Apple support-they asked me to do a few things like restart the phone etc-it’s still jumping to 2019 but it’s automatically jumps back to the correct day which I can live with.
Yep, this happens to me almost every time I open my calendar. It seems to happen when I open it and it’s in month view, then I click on the day to see the events. As soon as I click on the day it jumps back to September 2019z
I wonder if I may have found a common denominator... Did we all buy our phones in late 2019? Because I just looked and got mine in November 2019, which is the month the calendar keeps reverting to… I wonder if it’s a bug in phones purchased just from that time period?
So after 3 hours on with Apple Support, removed and reinstalled all calendars (by removing all mail accounts) I am no better off. They suggested timezone errors, location errors - but still no fix. The only thing that changed is instead of defaulting to 19Sept2019, it now defaults to 4Aug2020 (whish is interestingly exactly 1 year ago today) Bugga!
Same problem. Still not seeing a solution here as of July 29, 2021.
This issue has been around for a few years and still no fix? Pull your finger out Apple!
Update 9/30/21: It only worked for a week or so. I ended up deleting all entries for the flipped-to month, Feb.2020, and it now flips to March 2020. :-(
