Windows leftovers

Hello,

I removed the Windows partition via Disk Utility (I used Boot Camp Assistant to install Windows 10), and my disc shows 100% Macintosh HD. However, after a restart, my Mac opens a Windows error screen for some reason, and after another restart and holding option key to choose the system, I still have two to choose from – Mac and Windows.

How can I solve this issue without reinstalling everything? :/

I appreciate any help you can provide.

Right-click on the Microsoft directory, move it to Trash, empty Trash, run the following two procedures

and test and verify.

Windows should not be removed via Disk Utility. The correct method is Remove Windows from your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support.

Can you check if you have a Microsoft folder in the EFI partition? You will need to mount the EFI partition manually first. If you need detailed steps, please ask.

Thank you for help. :) I don't know what EFI partition is, I don't know how to find it. I did find an article regarding my problem, however. Do you think I should follow the steps they suggest?
