My Mac OS x is form 2011. The current software on my Mac is OS X El Capitan. I Have to start using Microsoft Teams, my Mac (current software) can not download the Teams software due to the current software version. The new Apple software macOS BigSur is not suitable for my Mac. What should I do?

Get a newer Mac, or a 2010 desktop Mac Pro upgraded with a Metal-capable graphics card. Microsoft Teams requires Mojave or higher, which won't run on yours.
