No service

iPhone 7 started having problems with getting no service or searching for service. Phone is 4 years old in great condition. Called Verizon they had me do my phone update and it made it worse so I couldn’t get service at all then they had me go to one of there stores and have them try a new SIM card. That didn’t work. Now I’m told to contact Apple. I did not pay for a insurance plan. Will Apple fix this? They already know they have an issue of this same thing for the iPhone 7. In my opinion it should have been recalled.
