how the heck can I save and capture my saved on my older Comcast DVR movies to my iPad Pro? I have a HDMI capture card which I have not tried yet but not sure what software/apps will save and convert to mp4

Thanks...well Xfinity has their apps and streaming but that wont access the cable box (not X1) in my bedroom where I saved all the movies..all would be easier if my MacBook Pro was working. Can't just import a file (which would be ideal) but already resigned to playback and capture in real time
