payment for storage

I am getting notices that my payment method isn't working. I put in a new gift card number with $50.00 on it. Why is this happening?

You have to have a functional payment method such as a credit or debit card if you have ongoing subscriptions, even if you actually pay for them with Apple ID balance.

Tap: Settings > [your name at the top] > Media & Purchases > View Account > Review Apple ID.
