I have bought a phone as being new but box opened for phone to be unlocked. I suspect the phone might not be new, so wanted to check if it has already been registered for a warranty. All the links for checking the warranty in the help section are broken. What is the correct link?

Thank you ... that link works! The one I found before didn't work.
The page says that support etc has expired, does that mean someone else had the phone before me? - it was sold to me as new. Do you know if there is somewhere I can check that?

That means the phone was originally sold by Apple or an authorized retailer more than one year ago.
Even if the box was never opened, it is not "new".
It has no warranty left.
Check warranty
