Can't delete a child account?

I'm now totally in the weeds now with the whole family sharing stuff. I created a generic Apple id to be used on an ipad. Now I can't delete it because the "age" of the user is under 13? Who's the genius that came up with this? I can't reset another kids password, can't remove accounts, I can't I can't I can't blah blah blah.

Whoever is on the Family sharing team in Palo Alto doesn't have kids and has never been around kids. Your team is a disaster and you've made a mess of this whole product. The best news is that this is all a mess since 2FA oh and btw, you can't turn 2FA off? WTF! Train wreck.

One way to do this would be to log into the unwanted "child" account and request deletion of the AppleID. You should have the ID and password from when you first set up the account, or can recover the password according to information provided in the referenced links below.

- Can I delete my child’s account?

"Your child can also request deletion of their Apple ID, which requires your approval."

You could also contact Apple about this request: Click here --> https://support.apple.com/choose-country-region/media-services Select your country, then a product and work your way down the menu to the desired issue. If you don't see one then try a different product until you reach a telephone or chat help request and ask to be redirected.
