Low speaker volume

I dropped my phone on last Saturday in the toilet. I did not put it in rice. I did file a claim with the insurance for a new phone which was sent today it is an iPhone 12 max I activated it. And now the volume when someone calls or leave the message is still very low. Why is this

Hello,

1) Use the side volume buttons to increase the volume

2) Go to the Control Center and check the volume slider. Is it all the way up?

3) Go to Settings > Sounds (or Settings > Sounds & Haptics), and drag the Ringer and Alerts slider back and forth a few times. If you don't hear any sound, or if your speaker button on the Ringer and Alerts slider is dimmed, your speaker might need service.

Good luck.
