How do you use the Siri Remote?

I have followed the instructions to work this remote for the 4K Apple streaming device, and it is very frustrating. The "play" button and swipe just is too sensitive, and the holding the edge to FF one can't see what's going by. For a company like Apple with it's engineers, why not make a standard remote with Reverse, Play, and FF buttons like any other remote. Another case of Apple getting a bit too cutesy, or at best, it's lost it's way. . . like why the big deal about a purple iPhone? If Steve Jobs was still around, he'd laugh at these "enhancements".

You may use the software remote on an iPhone (or iPad); quite similar, but sensitivity may be more to your liking.

You may use a universal button remote, instead of the Siri Remote with its touch surface.

You may consider the upcoming new model Siri Remote, which will operate a bit differently.
