Keyboard not popping up to sign in to YouTube on my ipad

when I try to sign in to YouTube on my iPad (8th gen), it pops up with a window saying ”YouTube” wants to use “google.com” to sign in: Cancel, Continue When I tap Continue, it brings me to a menu where I can type my email. The only issue is that no matter how many times I click the text box to type my email, my keyboard doesn’t show up, meaning I can’t sign in. I’ve tried signing into my email on the safari app, but it didn’t change anything. I was able to type my email using my Apple Pencil (using the Scribble function) but unfortunately I can’t type my password using it.

We'd like to help provide some assistance on getting your keyboard option for signing in. We would suggest starting with making sure the device is on the latest iPadOS version, by following the steps here Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. This will ensure there is not a software conflict here. Also when the keyboard does not appear, you can check and see if you need to Adjust the onscreen and external keyboard settings on iPad.
