Siri cutting out
I noticed on 14.5.1 Siri cuts out when she is responding to a question I asked I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this problem

My father has the second Generation iPhone SE same problem with Siri cutting out on IOS 14.5.1. So far I have fixed it with using reset all settings. Doing that resets all settings with no lose of data you will have to turn Location services back on and sign back in to your Wi-Fi connection.

I got Apple support to admit there’s a known bug with Siri in the latest update. They had me turn on low power mode and Siri works. The rep I spoke to said an update is coming very soon.
Ok, after a dissatisfying call to Apple who claims there are no issues, I read and read and found after you reset and it comes back up you must shut your phone off, I left it off for 2 minutes. Turn your phone back on and THEN your Siri will work properly. 😃👌👍
i had this exact problem and nothing worked. As ridiculous as it sounds, I eventually resorted to backing up to iCloud, completely erasing my phone and restoring phone from the backup. Presto. It works fine now. Same version of iOS and everything. Don’t ask me why but it worked with my iPhone 11
Yes, same issue here - it's starting to spread as a known 14.5.1 bug that hopefully Apple will listen too and fix ASAP as a safety issue. It impacts Siri, Messages, and apps like Maps - anything text to speech in CarPlay is basically useless now until resolved.
It’s happening to me as well. Hard to use the maps for directions when it keeps cutting out. I tried turning my phone to low power and it seems to be working so far. Hope they fix it soon.
Same problems for me all described above. CarPlay voice navigation and text message reading useless. It either doesn’t read anything or starts speaking and then cuts out after a second or two. But it is not a CarPlay issue. I just tried it at home and Siri cut out when reporting a result (“Hey Siri, Yankees score.” Then “The Ya———“)
About a month ago I had an issue where Siri would activate, but would not be able to return any results. It would say having trouble, even with strong LTE and wifi signals. I wound JP resetting all settings and that fixed the problem (and was a bit of a pain to go through), but now more problems. I will try some of the quick fixes such as turning off and on wifi/cellular data, “hey Siri,” and other things. iPhone 11 Pro here with the current iOS.
Do you happen to have AT&T Call Protect app installed?
Don’t you lose certain things like text messages and voicemails? Switching to low power mode seems to work as a temporary fix until they come out with another update.
I am having the same issue. I just restarted my iPhone 11 and it “appears” to be fixed. Can’t be certain until we go out on a delivery run again.
This is happening on my iPhone SE 2nd edition consistently since the 14.5.1 update. It happens whether I am in the car or not, and whether I am wearing my Watch or not, and it's irritating at best, and could become a safety issue as others have mentioned. Siri will start to speak and then go silent, whether tasked with navigation directions, reading a text, or simply telling me what time the A's game is today. If I'm using it for navigation while listening to music, the music still mutes itself when Siri should be speaking, but there are is no voice.
My CarPlay system is an aftermarket Pioneer unit, but like I said, this happens when I'm not in the car as well.
If anyone finds any fixes besides waiting for an iOS update, please let us know!
Initial results since going to 14.6 are positive but it’s fixed itself before then reverted back after a day. Keeping fingers crossed (11pro max)
Sorry to hear that on my fathers Second generation iPhone SE when I reset all settings at first I thought I failed because Siri was still cutting out but then it was working normal so far it’s fine. I hope the problem goes away for your phone.
Yeah, it’s happening to me on a 2018 Ford Escape and a 2020 Ford Edge…. Both with Sync3 and CarPlay.
Apple needs to do better than this. I rely on Siri - especially when driving.
Happening to my 11pro max even without being connected to the car. Also having delays when pause/start any audio over Bluetooth
