Why don’t universal links don’t work on any app?

when I browse and click any link in Safari that’s meant to redirect me to an app such as Twitter or YouTube, it directs me to the App Store page for those apps instead, despite those apps being installed. When I click the “Open” button on the App Store page, it simply takes me to whatever page the App was on in the background without ever loading the link. This is the case for every app which uses Universal links.

Hi doorfront,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that links are taking your to the App Store instead of the app. First, make sure you're running the latest iOS version shown in Settings > General > About.

Check to see if this behavior continues with certain apps. If it does, you can use the steps in the link If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open to assist with troubleshooting third-party apps.

If this behavior continues, it would be best to reach out to Apple Support.
