Can’t download latest iOS on my iPhone

iPhones older than the 6s are not supported by iOS updates anymore. If your phone is supported, make sure it's plugged in and connected to good WIFI while updating. If the phone takes hours to prepare the update, go to settings > General > software update and delete the iOS update to redownload it again.
