All contacts missing from Mac Catalina. Unable to restore from cloud. Is time machine an option? Not sure how to proceed

Re: Update to My Restore Contacts post--An accidental problem and fix...I must have inadvertently clicked on view>Hide groups. I had no idea until accidental fix.
