iphone recovery mode

iPhone has been acting up. Firstly, the volume and the side buttons will only worked 5 percent of the time the phone turned on. After a little bit of time, the phone turned off and wont turn back on. The phone sits on a recovery screen that has an iPhone cord pointing at a laptop, and above that reads: "support.apple.com/iPhone/recovery." Did research and learned I needed to plug the phone into my computer to update and restore.

Once I plug the iPhone in the computer, the whole 'Restore and Update' process happens; but once the process ends, the iPhone goes back to recovery mode again, and the computer repeats the process.

There can be Problems with the USB port on your computer can cause the restore process to fail, even if that same port works with other devices. An iPhone won't restore if one of your USB ports is damaged or doesn't supply enough power to charge your device throughout the entire restore process.

  • If you can’t update or restore your device with recovery mode, you can't use recovery mode because of broken buttons, or your device is stuck in Activation Lock, contact Apple Support.
