For no reason that I can see, while editing in FCPx, a white selection line has appeared, so there are now two on the timeline, the usual red one and the annoying white one. I haven't been able to get rid of the white one. The white one has also somewhat changed what the red one does. Help!

Can you post a screenshot? There are normally two lines. The gray/white line is the playhead; the red line is the skimmer. When you press play, the two move together.
