Change Apple ID

I use 2 Apple IDs (one with my gmail and one with my @mac.com address) and I would like to merge it to one unified @mac.com address.

However, when I logged into my gmail Apple ID account and tried to change the name to my @mac.com address, it gave me this notice: "You can only add the @mac.com address that is already on file in your account."

How do I solve this issue?

Changing @iCloud name on account Hello Today I changed my Apple ID from first gmail account to another, now I want to change @iCloud mail from name of first gmail to another and set it as Apple ID. How can I to it? Example: I had a@gmail.com as Apple ID, changed to b@gmail.com, but @iCloud is still a@icloud.com and want to change it to b@icloud.com

You cannot merge Apple ID’s nor can you use an email address for more than one Apple ID.
